Synopsis: The story was based on the real-life journey for the playwright’s mother (Reina Quijada) in the 1970s of her leaving El Savadore to the United States. The playwright blends the real experiences that his mother went through with the fantasy story of the Wizard of Oz. There are various musical types throughout the production, including in the style of cumbia, Mexican mariachi boleros, as well as hip hop and the story is a blend of the playwright’s family history along with the famous fable of L.Frank Baum book.
